Robert N.Pehrson and his wife lived among the Baloch people of Marri tribe for some time and kept making notes on their way of life. In them, they recorded geography and history, economy and lifestyle, traditional system, family, marriage and male-female relations, camp societies, their form and structure, and the status of the individual in them. This was compiled and analyzed by Fredrik Barth.
